Hi am in Anoop, I am a keen adventure and leisure travellers. I love to travel to know not only the nature, culture, people, geographical feature but to know myself. Well I would not hang with my story but I want to open my experience of my Darjeeling tour in words. Though I am not a poet to write in the poetic verse not a good writer to make engross you throughout the book until and unless u realise when I came to an end. But instead of all I am not a bad writer, at least I can make you feel the beauty of the place the world knows it by the name “Queen of Hills”. It was a summer time and as usual I wanted to spend my summer holidays in a place where I can enjoy not just the beauty of the nature but more than that, rich culture, traditions, geographical features and a place having a rich history. So I decided to visit Darjeeling rather than to go for Egypt, Italy, Scotland as I have visited to these place but since childhood I had a dream to visit this quaint little town located in the cozy and inviting lap of Kanchan Junga. As soon as I reached Delhi, the capital city of India, I was assisted by a team of professional with whom I had booked one of the luxurious Darjeeling tour packages. The representative assisted me to board the flight to Bagdogra and after few hours in flight I reached the airport which was now just 90 kms away from Darjeeling. The very first world came when I de-boarded the train was Namastae, which I make out the sense was welcome and I was right. After the glorious night at the hotel, the morning invited me to explore the beauty of the place starting right with the hot stimulating tea prepared from Darjeeling tea leaves ( one of the costliest tea leaves in the world, known for its flavour and aroma). Then I was guided to Tiger Hill, a place from where i could see the beauty of the Himalayas, breathtaking view of the early morning sunrise and the natural beauty that was beyond my words to describe. After that I was guided to visit Peace Pagoda and Darjeeling Museum. For that day it was just a complete dose, with some yummy taste and unique experience to make the day an everlasting experience. Next day programme was to visit Rock Garden and Dali Monastary and to the fast, Rock Garden was something that I have never expected to be so beautiful. Located in such a place it’s the spot one should not miss to visit during Darjeeling visit. After the day tour I enjoy shopping in the mall, local shopping centres and taste the various delicious delicacies offered in some of the cool and trendy restaurants. The Park, Frank Ross, Glanerys and Kaventers were simply best eating joint where I enjoy most of my lunch and dinner. Thanks to the experience hands of the chefs that offered me an opportunity to enjoy the taste to so many Chinese, continental and some delicious spicy delicacies. Thus with every single day I stated to enjoy the heart of Darjeeling and started to explore the beauty of the place with my travel partner and friend Sameer. He was an outstanding guy who helped me lot and shared his travel experience and childhoods days spend in these quaint hills.
