Benefits of cosmetic dental treatment in our Greenville SC practice

There is an unspoken understanding amongst those in today's society that appearances carry heavy importance in everyday dealings. Specifically, we have only a few seconds in which to make our best possible first impression. This could be in the workplace, the classroom, or in a social setting.

TMJ/TMD

The term TMJ is often used to describe the condition in which the muscles of the temporomandibular joints become irritated and dysfunctional. It is actually the joints themselves that are TMJs, with TMD the term to describe their altered condition. Our temporomandibular joints lie on each side of the back of the mouth, connecting the jawbone to the skull.

The advantages of Zirconia for dental bridges from our Greenville practice

Although dental implants are widely used to replace a lost tooth or teeth, there is still the option of a dental bridge. For many years, this was the primary treatment for lost teeth, but it came with some disadvantages. Today, we use zirconia as an alternative to metal in the creation of dental bridges, bringing new benefits to our Greenville patients.

Restoring a healthy and beautiful smile with CEREC technology

As a compassionate holistic dentistry, it is our standard practice to provide restorative care in as conservative a manner as possible. In many instances, we find that damage can be adequately remedied with porcelain onlays or inlays rather than dental crowns.

Dental Crowns and Bridges

For your convenience, we offer single-visit dentistry, with innovative CEREC technology. This system is often called "crowns in a day," but it can be used to fabricate a variety of porcelain restorations. Fillings, inlays, or onlays are conservative alternatives, which can also be fabricated and placed in one visit.

Those who are familiar with holistic forms of healthcare may have a good idea of what ozone is - and what it can do. For patients who visit a holistic dentist because they are frightened of what they now know about amalgam fillings may be surprised to learn that ozone is used by some dentists in the States for the treatment of a variety of oral conditions.

Reasons your oral surgeon in the Greenville SC area uses zirconia dental implants

For many years now, dentists all around the world have been replacing their patients' lost teeth with titanium dental implants. Indeed, these metal posts are quite compatible with oral tissues, and are extremely strong. Still, you cannot escape the clear fact that titanium dental implants are fully based on metal.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are increasingly becoming the preferred option for replacing many teeth. Titanium is the most common material used. However, this gray metal is neither holistic, nor cosmetic. At Palmer Distinctive Dentistry, we offer a better option: Z-Look3 Zirconium Oxide implants.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Any dental work that improves the appearance of your smile could be considered cosmetic. Holistic dentistry is, by nature, attractive. Biocompatible (non-metal) materials are tooth colored. Because we strive to improve your wellbeing and quality of life, we want you to be happy with your smile.

Finding relief with your holistic TMJ dentist in Greenville

Our bodies contain many joints, but none quite as complex as those found in the jaws. The temporomandibular joints must not only hinge to open and close the jaw, but they must also slide to accommodate the chewing process. As the joint is intricate in its movements, the supporting muscles are unique as well.
