HOPE 26 TICKET SALES CLOSE TO SELLING OUT

We've had a surge of ticket sales and we're further along than we expected. We want to avoid overcrowding at the venue which is why we've set a strict limit to the amount of tickets we're selling. There are now less than 150 tickets left. Once we reach that number, ticket sales will be closed down. We will NOT be selling tickets at the door unless we don't sell out by Monday. If that happens, we'll make an announcement then. The link for ticket sales is here. You will be able to purchase virtual tickets until Wednesday. That link is over here. People who have already bought tickets have either gotten them already via email or are in the process of receiving them. Presenters and scholarship winners will be on a list at registration. The full schedule for HOPE 26 is up. To make a tax-deductible contribution to HOPE, visit this site. Thanks for your support! We'll see you at HOPE! DISCOUNTED HOTEL ROOMS FOR HOPE STILL AVAILABLE DUE TO HIGH DEMAND

HOPE 26 is a little over two weeks away! The New Yorker Hotel has extended the period of time where the discounted room rate can be obtained. You now have until this coming Friday, July 31st. We strongly suggest you take advantage of this special rate in the middle of midtown Manhattan so you can be in the middle of all the action during HOPE (August 14-16). The link is here. (If you see unavailable dates during HOPE, the hotel will replenish them ASAP. Keep trying! If you still experience these issues in a few hours, let us know. The hotel is trying their best to keep up with the demand.) The HOPE speaker schedule is now online. Visit our site to see it. There may still be some additions and changes in the weeks ahead. And there will definitely be all kinds of surprises at this historic event, our first in Manhattan since 2018! If you haven't bought your ticket yet, just visit our store for in-person tickets. If you can't travel to HOPE, you can still get a virtual ticket where you'll be able to interact with speakers and attendees. Remember: every ticket sale helps to make HOPE a better conference! We're still raising funds for HOPE's A/V expenses, which are always a challenge to cover. All donations are fully tax-deductible. Just visit the fundraising page. If you wish to be part of the HOPE Scholarship program and help a student attend HOPE at no cost and have a truly incredible experience, visit the scholarship page. You could really help change someone's life. We will continue to have more announcements in the days ahead. HOPE 26 is going to be an incredible event! We hope to see you there.

RENOLY SANTIAGO (PHANTOM PHREAK IN "HACKERS") TO APPEAR AT HOPE

Thirty-one years ago, a film that we all still talk about was introduced to the world. Some love it, some hate it, but it's definitely had an impact on the hacker community over the years. Renoly Santiago played Phantom Phreak, the highly expressive, charismatic "King of NYNEX" who wore stylishly eccentric clothes and brought an energetic, theatrical flair to the underground hacker scene. Renoly will be part of a panel discussion at this year's HOPE conference with consultant Emmanuel Goldstein and others who will reveal some of the secrets of "Hackers." There will also be a tribute to the late Rafael Moreu, who wrote the script for "Hackers" after attending 2600 meetings and doing a lot of research into this community. We hope you'll join us. Hack the Planet! HOPE 26 will take place August 14-16, 2026 at The New Yorker Hotel in New York City. Tickets can be obtained at this address (follow the link at the bottom of the page for virtual tickets). More details on the conference can be found at the HOPE website.

HOPE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM HAS BEGUN

NOTE: Applications for this program are now closed. Recipients will be notified in the first week of August. Once again, we are offering a pathway to free HOPE admission this year for those in need. If you're interested in opening the door for a student to attend HOPE in August, you now have the opportunity to do just that. Last year was the first time we did this and it was a tremendous success. Students (and others who couldn't afford the admission fee) were given the opportunity to attend HOPE and experience what was truly a life-changing event for many of them. We try to keep the HOPE admission fee as low as possible, but we know even that can be too much for lots of people who would benefit the most from attending. It's simple to participate, whether you're donating or applying. Simply visit this link to give a HOPE admission to a student. And if you wish to apply for the program, just follow these instructions. This is a scenario where you can make a real difference for someone who otherwise wouldn't be able to attend and possibly change their lives in a really positive way. So many attendees have benefited from the people they've met and the talks they've seen at HOPE. We want to do everything possible to make sure others experience this. And in addition to helping these individuals, you're also helping HOPE with ticket sales, which are vital to our continued existence. Meanwhile, our fundraiser to help cover our A/V expenses at our brand new Manhattan location is at 27 percent. We're hoping to hit 50 percent by the end of the week. You can make a tax-deductible donation at this link. Please spread the word! Tickets to HOPE can be purchased here (follow the link at the bottom of the page for virtual tickets).

HELP ENSURE HOPE'S SUCCESS

We are really looking forward to HOPE 26 this August. We've gotten more speaker and workshop submissions than ever, we're hearing from people who haven't attended HOPE in decades, and we think we've really found the perfect spot, right in the middle of Manhattan. But there's a problem. For whatever reason, we're several hundred ticket sales below where we need to be to make HOPE possible. There are many theories as to why, one of which is that people like to wait til the last minute. However, the necessary expenses for putting on a conference like this won't wait and we really need to solve this problem if we're going to continue in the future. HOPE will be awesome either way. The only question is whether we're going to be able to do this again. We have two ways of accomplishing this: 1) sell several hundred more tickets; 2) get tax-deductible contributions to help us bridge the gap. (Links to do either are below.) There are other ways you can help. If you can't make it to HOPE but want to support the conference, you can buy a virtual ticket and interact with speakers and other conference attendees anywhere in the world. And you can help us spread the word of HOPE - as doing this continues to be our biggest challenge with the deterioration of both social and mass media. We've faced many challenges before, from venues being torn down to COVID to intimidation tactics. We believe with your help we'll get past this challenge as well and continue to build the conference at our new location. You can make a tax-deductible donation at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/hope-av-fundraiser Tickets can be purchased at https://store.2600.com/products/tickets-to-hope-26 (follow the link at the bottom of the page for virtual tickets)
