#YearinReview What did you ship/complete in 2010?

Seth brought up a good exercise on writing out the items you shipped in 2010.  This recognizes in one spot the different items that I am proud to be a part of.  For my adaptation, shipping will be projects (software and business development, writing, speaking or life events that stand out or related): My 2010 List: Event Switch to MAC platform (had been straddling the fence prior)

Revit Model Review - Advanced Part #1

Autodesk Revit Model Review is quite a powerful tool, of course I may be a bit biased about that. Over the last few weeks I have seen more requests asking about advanced topics for Model Review. It seems that Revit users are starting to push this beyond the OOTB checks and creating their own to match their standards and project requirements. In this post we will cover the Manage interface. Within

Revit 2010 - Wall Split With Gap

In 2009 and below with the help of a .ini hack we had access to an extra command called "Split Wall with Gap" and since 2010 was released this has no longer worked.  With the release of the Subscription Advantage Pack it is back and built right into the core tools now, albeight a bit hidden. To access go to the Modify tab > Edit Panel > Split Dropdown and choose Split with Gap.&

Blogger -The New Post Window for Compose Too Small

Are you using Blogger in a browser? If so you are all too aware that the window to compose your prose is too small to work within. Now that I am writing more again this was the first thing that started bothering me. In the end I want something like this for an interface to work within: Well want to know a secret? Revit Development - Autodesk BIMreview

The last few years have been a great learning experience as I have had the desire and opportunity to get more involved in software add-ons. Presentations - Crap to Snap

I do quite a bit of public speaking, consulting and strategy planning for Architecture, Engineering and Construction firms. One of the mediums that is used more than almost any other program is a slideware program, most notably Microsoft Powerpoint. I see this in what I do, what goes on at conferences and most of it looks horrible, especially when you only have a few moments to kick this off
